Creation Speaks

I'm sitting at an expansive bay window watching birds-- irridescent humming birds  fluttering over their red nectar, yellow breasted finches hanging upsidedown on their feeding sock, jockeying for position to access the seed, a robin on a perch on the bird seed tube by it's oval opening and a covey of quail just a few feet up the hillside under a magnolia tree.  It's mezmerizing.  I would never have described myself as a bird watcher, but I'm just in the right place at the right time to be captivated.  The most sophisticated aerospace crafts fall short of the grace and flexibility of these God-designed creatures.  Each bird is a tiny miracle.
Perhaps if we did not live in such a fast-paced world-- perhaps if we had more time to sit at bay windows to contemplate the wonders of God's creation--perhaps then we'd hear creation groaning as it longs for its future glory(Rom. 818-22); we'd see the stars and other heavenly bodies proclaiming the glory of God (Psalm 19:1-6); we'd acknowledge that God's eternal power and divine nature is revealed in his creation (Rom. 1:19-21).
How diabolically clever of Satan just to keep us too busy running after our self-imposed "responsibilities" to divert our attention from the awe-inspiring details of God's creation. (Matt  6:25-34)
